Very few Men actually discovered their purpose on earth. Most men think they are only saddle with the responsibilities of fatherhood. The idea of many, ends at only raising goodly home, nourishing the wife and sending the children to school as a way of creating better life for them.

The responsibilities of man are actually beyond this spectrum. God sees man as head, leader, and instructor. If man therefore stands right and firm in his responsibility as the head, leader, and instructor the societal errors and decadence of our world today would have been a lot fractional.

As “HEAD” God consider man as the shepherd over his home; by extension over the world, and as long as every shepherd is still standing, the world is a safe place. Man therefore became the devil’s target, because he (the devil) knows that if he gets man he has the world, just as it is written “I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.”  Matthew 26:31b. This account for why trouble and calamity has particularly prevailed in the world today, because most shepherd has been smitten, that is, men that ought to keep the watch are out of their course of duty.

Genesis 2:15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the Garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

The above scripture reveals the key responsibility of man:

1. “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden” this means, God took man and gave him the earth as his permanent place of dwelling.
2. “To dress it and to keep it”

This means, man has been given the responsibility to oversee the earth, to determine what happens and what should not. Notice that the Lord God said to man “keep it”this implies that something might come to attack or harm it, so men are to keep earth. But, contrary to keeping the earth, evil has prevailed in our world because men have gone sleeping. To achieve God’s agenda for man, men need to stay firm with God.
